There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of  €4,800. The winning   numbers were 2, 3, 20, 22. Congratulations to the four match 3 winners who each received €75. The match three winners were Deirdre Sinnott, Peggy Colfer, Jack Power, Pat Gillian. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday 6th September 2016 and the Jackpot now stands at €5,100.


 Sunny South East Strollers / Striders
Philomena, Jacintha and Martin (Irish Heart Foundation Trained Community Walking Leaders) would like to invite you to come along to our new 4 week Strolling programme. Participating in a regular walking programme can boost energy levels, helps relieve stress, reduce the risks of high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. So let’s get fit and active together .We can stroll for 15 to 25 minutes taking short rest periods where needed. Our new 4 week programme starts on Monday 05th September 2016 at 7pm in Rathangan Hall, meeting also on Mon 12th, 19th and 26th. Striders will also meet at the same time; we will all do warm up exercises together and walk out together. (The Community Walkway in Rathangan offers a very safe/steady place to walk.) The Striders will walk for approx 35-45 mins. Keep Fit - TRX Classes & Pilates Classes
TRX Classes take place in the Club House every Monday and Wednesday evenings @ 6.30pm and Tuesday and Friday mornings @ 9.30am.  For further details please contact Kevin Cogley on 086-3656233.

Pilates
Pilates Classes take place in Cleariestown Community Centre  on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.  Bring a mat, towel and drinking water.  Cost is €8 and it is recommended to book a place. For further details please contact Teresa White on 089-4620552.

Located on the pier of the Church in Rathangan, the 24 hour number to contact our Parish AED team is 086 401 1688.  Call 999 / 112 first if you suspect a cardiac arrest and then call us.  We will have exciting news over the coming weeks about additional AED's for the parish, and we look forward to sharing it with you...
We are also organising AED training for anybody interested at the extremely reasonable price of €20.  Please call Annemarie on 085 1322659 or Jacqui on 087 2219302 if you would like to avail of it.

ANNUAL GARDENING SHOW
An invitation is extended to keen gardeners from all over Wexford to compete in this year's Gardening Show. The Show will be held in the Irish Agricultural Museum (Johnstown Castle) on the 10th & 11th September. Any flowers, fruit and vegetables can be entered as well as homemade  preserves, pot plants and floral arranging. Cleariestown playschool will reopen on Wednesday the 31st August. Places are still available for the ECCE scheme which is now offering two free years for children aged 3 years upwards. Celebration,
The St. Annes junior football champions of 1966 are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their historic victory that year. This was the first ever adult county victory for the club. The venue for the celebration will be Baldwinstown Hall. This is the place which they used for togging out and planning, before going up to Rowe's field to train in the winter for the semi final and final and where all meetings of  the club took place at that time.  It is hoped to have all 24 members of that team or their relatives at the function. Noel Rochford from Kilmannon is hoping to be home for it from Australia and all are looking forward to a great night on Sunday 18th September.

Fastnet Rovers Player Registrations:
Fastnet Rovers are now taking new and existing registrations for the upcoming season. We are also entering and U10 & U12 girls team next season. Please check out Fastnet Rovers AFC on Facebook or contact the club if you are interested.

 Money for Jam Appeal
Calling all jam making a blackberry picking enthusiasts. The forthcoming Harvest Festival to be held in Duncormick on October 1st and 2nd, are looking for your help. If you are in the habit of jam making, why not donate some of your produce to our “Money for Jam Appeal”. The idea is to fundraise for the upkeep of Church grounds at Duncormick Church. GAA Gear for Kenya
Seán Sheridan, is a 16 year old student from Newbridge, Co. Scouts 
Registration for new scouting year takes place in Tomhaggard social centre on Wed 7 Sept 7-8pm.  There are places available for new members in Beaver section (6-8),  Ventures (15-18),  very limited places in Cubs (9-11)  and Scouts (12-15). We're also looking for adults who would like to be Scouters or part of Parents and Friends group.  Registration Fee to Head Office, e45 can be paid in increments. Drama
Ballycogley Players are busy with their One Act Plays which will be performed in St Michaels Hall Wexford during the Fringe Festival,  and Full Length play which will go on drama festival circuit in spring.
What other activities would you like to see at the Centre??? Some ideas so far - Film Club, Board Games Club,  Children's Reading Club,  Yoga, Exercise club,  Social dancing etc. Centre is also available to hire for classes or events. Contact 0876858480.

Ecumenical Service
The Ecumenical Service in Our Lady's Island will take place on next Wednesday evening, 7 September at 8.00p.m.  The preacher is Aidan Canon Jones.  Refreshments will be served afterwards. All most welcome .

Scouts
38 members of Kilmore scouts have returned from the best camping experience of their lives. The International Jamboree in Birmingham was attended by 2000 participants from all over the world, was action packed from the start, with new friendships made, challenges experienced and memories made for a lifetime.  The leaders are so proud of our youth members who were firm favourites on Asia Sub-camp with their total commitment to all the activities,  creating plenty of atmosphere with their singing and engagement with the other groups on site. Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising to make it all possible.  Congratulations to Rachel Brady who was selected as part of the Youth Staff for All Ireland Phoenix Challenge which takes place 17-20 Aug

Afternoon Tea Party and Craft Fair
It takes place in Tomhaggard social centre on 3 Sept 2-6. If you're interested in putting in a stall, cost e10 ( hand crafts only) photo/ painting e5 contact 0872840272 (Angela).  There's something for everyone with Home baking, Afternoon tea,  Entertainment with Ballycogley Players and others with all proceeds going to Social Centre.  A big thank you to everyone who supported the Afternoon tea and Garden Party at Butlerstown Castle last weekend,  those who donated cakes and especially the Skrine family for hosting the event.
