There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €3,000. The winning  numbers were 5, 20, 26 and 28. Congratulations to the two  match 3 winners who received €100 each. The match three winners was Val Sinnott and Sarah Clifford. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday 18th July 2017 and the Jackpot now stands at €3,200.

Tidy Towns

Duncormick Area Action Group has once again entered this year’s Tidy Town’s   Competition with judging from June-August. We are appealing to everyone to help us in obtaining better results this year and be proud of our village. We would also like to ask everyone to use the litter bins provided in the village.

 We are compiling a collection of names of local fields, places and structures and, where possible – their meaning. Forms have been left in Church Porches and halls of both Rathangan and Cleariestown. Your contribution to this project will be appreciated now and for future generations. South East Country Music Festival
“The South East Country Music Festival” takes place in Killag Showgrounds on Sunday 30th of July starting at 1pm with continuous music right up to 7.00pm. The artists are as follows: Lee Matthews, Mike Denver, Jimmy Buckley, Cliona Hagan and Nathan Carter.

Reminder Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp Gear Collection

For Parents who Registered their Children On-Line ONLY  for this year's Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp.  We have received the gear and I will be at the Clubhouse this evening between 5pm and 6pm to distribute.  If you are unable to collect your Child's/Children's Gear this evening, it will be returned to Wexford Park and can be collected from there Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. Please note that if you register or have registered your child/ Children online in the past week or coming week,  your child will receive their gear later in the week of Cúl Camp Week which is Monday 17th to Friday 21st of July.  If you only register your Child on the Monday of Cúl Camp Week your child will Not receive their gear until after Cúl Camp Week.  If you have any queries please give me a call.

 

Cleariestown Sewing and Knitting Club

The club would like to thank everyone who bought tickets for the quiz in the Cleariestown Pattern. The winners were Breda Rochford, the second, third and fourth prizes were won by Marion and Tom Stanners, Mary Stafford and Richard Kavanagh and the fifth prize, a set of wooden carved bowls, was won by James Kent. The closed will be closed for the summer but will reopen in mid September. New members are always welcome.

Open Garden Event
Open Garden Event by Alice Mernagh, Moorefields (top of Starvall Lane) from 2 - 5 pm on Sunday July 9th 2017. All proceeds will go to the Irish charity Dogs for the Disabled (charity number 17821). Teas and refreshments will be provided as well as a plant sale, raffle and fashion items.

The annual Bannow & Rathangan Show
The annual Bannow & Rathangan Show takes place in Killag on July 13th. Schedules are now available to download from the website www.bannowrathanganshow.com or from secretary Liz Freeman on 0877560871. Closing Date for entries is Tuesday 27th June.


A Social Evening
A Social Evening takes place in Mary Teresa Redmond's, Millview, Foulksmills on Saturday 8th July from 5pm to 9pm. This event is in aid of Co. Wexford Community Workshop ( Enniscorthy) CLG. Refreshments will be served all evening. There will be musical entertainment on stage with many talented musicians and a bouncy castle for the children. Please support this worthy cause and bring along a friend.


Cleariestown Patron
The annual Cleariestown Patron and Field day takes place on July 9th with mass and blessing of graves at 1.30pm - followed by field day. Donations of Bottles produce. Bric-A-Brac would be greatly appreciated. Raffle tickets are being distributed to every house and can be returned to the church porch or on the day.

Mass in Dunbrody Abbey
There will be a Mass in Dunbrody Abbey on Sunday next July 9th at 10-30am weather permitting, the theme of the celebration is our Christian Heritage from history to hope. Parking will be in the Dunbrody visitor centre across the road from the Abbey, there will be limited parking in the Abbey grounds for people with limited mobility only please, tea / coffee and scone will be available in the coffee shop after Mass at a reduced rate.
