 Community Lotto

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of  €6,300. The winning   numbers were 7,9,22,27. Congratulations to the four match 3 winners who each received €75. The match three winners were Bill Nolan, Pat Roche, Colin Williams, Watty Fitz. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday 11th October 2016 and the Jackpot now stands at €6,600.

 

Keep Fit - TRX Classes & Pilates Classes
TRX Classes take place in the Club House every Monday and Wednesday evenings @ 6.30pm and Tuesday and Friday mornings @ 9.30am.  For further details please contact Kevin Cogley on 086-3656233.


Pilates
Pilates Classes take place in Cleariestown Community Centre on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm.  Bring a mat, towel and drinking water.  Cost is €9 and it is recommended to book a place. For further details please contact Teresa White on 089-4620552.

Table Quiz
Duncormick Area Action Group and Tidy Towns Committee will hold a table quiz in Sinnott’s Pub on Wednesday 12th October at 9pm. Tables €20. Refreshments served. Proceeds in aid of river walk development.

Fastnet Rovers
Fastnet Rovers have seen registrations increase almost 25% and would continue to welcome new players at all levels. All our teams have played their first matches including our new girls teams. To mark Mulrankins Church Bicentenary, Michael English and his band will be performing in cabaret at Clayton Whites Hotel, Wexford on November 24 th at 8.30pm. GAA Gear for Kenya
Seán Sheridan is a 16 year old student from Newbridge, Co. Kildare and has made contact with the club to collect GAA memorabilia (jerseys, shorts, socks, etc.) to bring with him to a homeless children's charity in Kenya in February 2017.  If anyone wishes to donate anything, can they make contact with Dee O’Keeffe This email address is being protected from spambots. Irish Dancing classes will resume in Cleariestown Community Centre on Monday evenings at 6 pm. Girls and Boys of all ages are welcome from 3 yrs. Contact 087 9364255


Parish AED's
We're delighted to now have Four AED's in our parish - Baldwinstown, Cleariestown, Duncormick and Rathangan.  They are located at the shop in Baldwinstown; Church in Cleariestown; Former post office in Duncormick and on the school in Rathangan.  They're in a bright yellow box.  If you suspect a cardiac arrest please call 999 / 112 FIRST and then, if you can, your voluntary AED team.  We will try our best to respond and our number is 086 401 1688.  Volunteers for the team are always required.  Call Jacqui on 087 2219 302 for more information or facebook.com/RathanganDefib/

Thank You

The Charity Drive held in Ballymagyr on Sunday the 4th September was a great success. Thanks to all who contributed and helped in any way. A grand total of €2265 was raised for Wexford Hospice Homec

 

Rathangan Bingo
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Bingo arranged for Sunday October 16th has been changed to Sunday October 23rd. Apologies for any inconvenience. Prize fund €1'300.Your support would greatly appreciated by attendance or donation. Thank you.

THE ATHENAEUM
“If there was no profit in mental illness, how ill would we be?”
This week Hello Johnny, the one-man, one-act presentation takes to the stage in the Athenaeum for one night only.  It is an intriguing and unique Wexford Studio Theatre production which addresses questions and issues dealing with mental ill-heath in an engaging, enlightening and accessible way,  in the Athenaeum on Friday 15th October 2016.  Tickets are €10 and available from the Athenaeum box office or by telephoning 087 2637178.

Rathangan Variety Group Information Night
Rathangan Variety Group presents “OKLAHOMA THE MUSICAL” information night on Wednesday 21st September at 8pm in Rathangan Hall. Audition Dates, Wednesday 28th September at 8pm and Friday 30th September at 8pm in Rathangan Hall. Existing members are asked to attend, new members from 1st year upwards are more than welcome. If you ever fancied “TREADING THE BOARDS” then come along and meet our Director who will give you an insight into this Production. Audition material available on the night to take away. Saturday 24th September 7-9pm in Rathangan Hall for primary school aged kids! Music by DJ Gary, spot prizes, raffle tickets. Fully supervised. Admission €3. This disco is being held by Triona Marie Cleary from Duncormick to fund her upcoming trip to World Championship in Kick Boxing with Team Ireland so please come along and support. Should be a great night.

Hip-Hop classes
Nikki will be running hip-hop classes in Rathangan Hall starting 23th September at 5 pm to 6 pm. These classes are suitable from 1st class up to 4th class. Please contact Nikki on 0851416953.

Money for Jam Appeal
Calling all jam making a blackberry picking enthusiasts. The forthcoming Harvest Festival to be held in Duncormick on October 1st and 2nd, are looking for your help. If you are in the habit of jam making, why not donate some of your produce to our “Money for Jam Appeal”. The idea is to fundraise for the upkeep of Church grounds at Duncormick Church.
