There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of  €8,700. The winning   numbers were 12, 14, 25 and 29. Congratulations to the three match 3 winners who received €100 each. The match three winners were Chris O’Mahony, Shauna Murphy, William Walsh. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday 6th December 2016 and the Jackpot now stands at €9,000.

Parish AED's

We're delighted to now have Four AED's in our parish - Baldwinstown, Cleariestown, Duncormick and Rathangan.  They are located at the shop in Baldwinstown; Church in Cleariestown; Former post office in Duncormick and on the school in Rathangan.  They're in a bright yellow box.  If you suspect a cardiac arrest please call 999 / 112 FIRST and then, if you can, your voluntary AED team.  We will try our best to respond and our number is 086 401 1688.  Volunteers for the team are always required.  Call Jacqui on 087 2219 302 for more information or facebook.com/RathanganDefib/

Sunnydays Afterschool Rathangan Homework Club

This service is provided for the kids who attend between 2-3pm and 3-4pm. Kids who attend from 2-3 remain in our afterschool room in the school. Children who attend from 3-4 are cared for in Rathangan Hall. We have a designated homework room were the children can concentrate without distraction. We offer assistance and guidance to allow them to complete their homework at their own pace. When homework is complete we provide a range of fun and activities.

 

 

The Cleariestown Finna Fáil Cumann held a meeting on Monday the 7th of November at the Coach Inn Public house at 7.00pm. The meeting was well attended with all manner of local issues discussed. Next meeting will be held on February the 6th 2017. Baldwinstown Christmas Lights

You are invited to a village gathering in Baldwinstown on Saturday 10th December at 7.30pm to turn on Christmas tree lights, sign a few carols and enjoy some refreshments in the hall. Followed by a gathering in the Wheelhouse. There will be a raffle on the night. Sponsored by Baldwinstown businesses.


Rathangan Senior Citizens Christmas Party

Remember the year of the snow when the Senior Citizen Christmas Party took place in January…..well due to unforeseen circumstances the committee need to defer the annual Christmas party until early in the New Year. Come and join us in early January (date to be confirmed) for a late Christmas celebration together in a newly refurbished location! 


Lotto Christmas Break

Rathangan Parish Lotto will be taking their annual Christmas break. The last draw for 2016 will be held on December 20th and will resume again on Tuesday January 10th 2017. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the various clubs and everyone involved in the lotto on the Tuesday night. Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!!!


Credit Union Art Competition

Congratulations to the following in their recent success at local level in the Credit Union Art Competition.

All the 1 st Prizes have gone forward to the Chapter stage. The next Credit union event will be the credit Union schools table quiz which will be on Friday 27 th January in Carrig Community Centre at 8pm- where they will be able to “show us their brain power”.

Christmas Market 

Tomhaggard social centre are holding a Christmas Market on Sat 3 Dec 2-6. Plenty of hand made crafts, Decorations, Christmas refreshments, Raffle,  plus Mrs Claus' Dilemma and Storytime in Library ( free entertainment for children as a Thank You to the community). Ballycogley Players are performing their Comedy night "Mayhem and Merriment"  in St Helens Golf Club Sat 19 Nov at 8pm. Meanwhile the cast of Lay Me Down Softly are taking boxing lessons for next year's Festival play!!!

The Cleariestown Penny Bank
