There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of  €3,000. The winning  numbers were 4,6,19,26. Congratulations to the nine match 3 winners who each received €33. The match three winners were James Dwyer, Noeleen Gore, Pat Rossiter, Sean Moore, Catherine Murphy Walsh, Sheila Parle, Francis Moore, Jim and Alice Ryan, Rosaleen Keegan. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday 14th June 2016 and the Jackpot now stands at €3,300.

 

 Sunny South East Strollers/Striders 
Sunny South East Strollers/Striders  - We meet every Monday evening at 7pm, (except Bank Holidays and weather permitting. We would like to invite anyone who would like to get out for a stroll/walk, who may have very low fitness levels. We have starter strolls for the month of January where we can start off with 10/15 minutes, taking small rests if necessary. The Strider Group will also meet at 7pm and walk for 35-45 mins. We have a cup of tea/ coffee & most importantly a chat afterwards.  Macfit PT & Fitness Classes
Why not come and try one of our classes in Rathangan Hall. We have a Legs. Bums & Tums, morning class are every Monday morning and Monday evening class at 7-8pm on Wednesdays we alternate between a Boxercise class and a circuit class. For more info. Contact Brian on 0861551315

Places are still available for your child to attend Cleariestown Community playgroup and avail of the free preschool year under the ECCE scheme, from September 2116. Tidy Towns
Duncormick Area Action Group has once again entered this year’s Tidy Town’s Competition with judging from June-August. We are appealing to everyone to help us in obtaining better results this year and be proud of our village. We would also like to ask everyone to use the litter bins provided in the village.

Scouts
Theres a big fundraising weekend on 18/19 June in aid of camp at International scout Jamboree in Birmingham at end of July. Approx 40 youths and adults will be travelling, the majority on their first overseas trip. Saturday 18th - cake sale after mass in Tomhaggard,  tea on the lawn and cake sale after mass in Kilmore. Sunday 19th - cake sale after mass in Mulrankin, cake sale, tea on the lawn and mini car boot sale from 10 am to mid afternoon in Kilmore.  There'll be produce, bric a brac,  books, face painting and beauty parlour. Kilmore Quay is also included in fundraising with a trolley raffle in  Brady's Mace onSat 4 June. All support grateful received.

Tomhaggard social centre 
Reading room open to public Mondays excl bankholidays 10-1 to borrow, swop, read a full range of books. Women's Shed will continue  Mondays through out the summer for anyone interested in joining. All things gardening at moment, using pallets to make plant boxes, furniture, accessories and planting.

Wamboree 
Is a scout camp in aid of Syrian Refugee Crisis which Kilmore is hosting 24-26 June.  Base camp is on Quigleys land down the lane in the village while activities will be taking place on various beaches in the Parish. A number of Groups from the County have confirmed attendance so far and thanks to some local business sponsorship all monies raised from camp and donations will be going to charity. The whole ethos of the weekend is fun, outdoors, and appreciation of what we have. More details next week.

 

The Hope Cancer Support Centre will hold their annual Summer Solstice 5K Walk  and Ceremony of Light and Healing in Curracloe Beach on Tuesday 21st June at 8pm. We invite  everyone to come along and be part of this very special ceremony and to enjoy a peaceful and serene walk on this beautiful beach.


Rathangan parsih council want to thank everyone who supported and helped  to make our tractor run a success last Sunday, it is very much appreciated. Total amount raised €2'110 Thank you.

St. Anne's Annual Golf Classic Friday 15th of July

Congratulations to Kevin Cardiff, winner of last week’s jackpot  €6,000. The winning  numbers were 6,18,25,29. Congratulations to the six match 3 winners who each received €50. Fastnet Rovers AFC
Well done the U11 Fastnet Rovers team who won the U11 League title last weekend. This is the first underage league title since 2003 and with so many of our teams doing so well hopefully the first of many. Congrats to all involved & for more info check out Fastnet Rovers AFC on Facebook.


St Anne's Athletic Club
The club would like to congratulate all of our athletes who competed at the Co Championships over the last two weekends. Our medal winners - Aoife Brennan U10 1st Turbo Javelin. Finn Ryan U13 2nd 100m, 3rd Shot Putt & 3rd 600m. Liam Berry U13 3rd 100m & 2nd 80m. Muireann Hynes U11 3rd 600m. Aidan Brennan U11 3rd Turbo Javelin & 2nd High Jump.

Rathangan Variety Group are holding a Breakfast Morning on Sunday 12th June in Temple Bar. 


Bag Collection
Cleariestown Community Playgroup are holding a bag collection on Monday June 14th. This is a great fundraiser for the playschool and a great excuse to have a good clearout before the summer holidays. Items for the bags include used clothes( men's, women's and children's) shoes, bags, belts, curtains, bed linen ( no duvets) , old soft toys . Old mobile phones will also be collected. Bags may be left at the community centre any weekday morning between 9.30-12.30. 


Fastnet Rovers AFC AGM:
Fastnet Rovers AGM is scheduled for 8pm on Friday June 10th. All parents, coaches, players and interested parties are invited to attend. We would love to get more people involved to help our ongoing growth and development next year.
