Ballycogley Players

The curtain will come down on this year’s one act plays this weekend when we travel to Ballycogley on Saturday (9th Nov) at 8.15pm & Carrig on Bannow on Sunday  (10th Nov) at 8pm.  Admission €10 each night.  To date, all three plays have been thoroughly enjoyed by audiences in St. Michaels SVP Hall & Our Lady's Island and we have no doubt the people of Ballycogley and Carrig on Bannow will also be highly entertained! A huge well done to the directors, casts & crews for the fantastic entertainment over the last few weeks, be very proud! Ballycogley Players very much appreciate the support of all our raffle prize sponsors, all those who helped out with serving teas and refreshments and as always, special thanks to our loyal supporters. The focus is now on our full length festival play, "Dreamland" by Jim Nolan. So far rehearsals have been going very well and as always director Breda Hayes is cracking the whip and making sure her cast of Will Troy, Justine Murphy, Con Doyle, Chris Maddock, Colm Doyle, Sean Carthy and Trish Boyce are kept on their toes!  Keep up to date with all our drama news by logging on or liking our facebook page.

We extend sympathy this week to Phil Kirwan and Family, Duncormick on the sad passing of Myra Kirwan last weekend may she rest in peace.

Wexford Hospital Service of Remembrance
exford General Hospital is holding their Service of Remembrance at Clonard Church, Wexford on Friday 15th November 2019 at 7.30pm - this is an annual event.   The Service of Remembrance is particularly intended for families and friends of those who died at Wexford General Hospital over the past year or who have a strong connection with the hospital.  However, the service is also open to anyone who wishes to attend.

The purpose of the service is to provide an opportunity to remember as a community, people we love who have died - to reminisce and celebrate their lives and all they meant to us. This event is open to peoples of all faiths and of none. Tea and coffee will be served afterwards.
The Service is organised on an annual basis by the Standing Committee for End of Life Care at Wexford General Hospital.  This committee is comprised of staff from all areas of the hospital.  Their work includes organising the Service of Remembrance, implementing initiatives such as the writing and sending out of sympathy cards, refurbishment of the mortuary and family rooms, providing written bereavement information for relatives and developing education programmes for staff.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday 15th November at Clonard Church, Wexford at 7.30pm (19.30hrs).
