Community Lotto
There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €10,000. The winning numbers were 1, 13, 15 and 19. There were six match three winners who received €35 each. The winners were Paul Stone, Damien Nolan, Lynda McDonald, Sinead Burke, Liam Carroll and Eamonn Mullins. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday 17th April 2018 and the Jackpot now stands at €10,200.


Rathangan N.S. Enrolment 2018
Applications for enrolment for St. Anne's N.S. are now being accepted for September 2018.  Enrolment forms are available from the school office - call in or ring Jenny on (051) 563167 or from the school website - www.stannesns.weebly.com

 South East Music Festival
South East Music Festival is pleased to announce that tickets for our 2018 festival are currently on sale in the following local outlets: Rathangan hall, The Cenacle, John Sinnott and Martina Furlong. The tickets are an ideal present for family and friends.



October 2000
“October 2000”, a history of St Annes GAA Club, with stories that stretch back to the 1800’s is currently on sale in all shops in the Parish of Rathangan and Kilmore. Also available in Wallaces Supervalu & Costcutters Wellingtonbridge, McGee’s Quickpick and Eurospar Taghmon and in School of Office Supplies, The Book Centre and Byrne’s Bookshop Wexford.


Defibrillator News
The defibrillators in the parish are located as follows:
Rathangan - on the school wall, beside the door nearest to Rathangan crossroads.
Cleariestown - at the church on the side wall facing the community centre.
Duncormick - on the wall of the former post office.
Baldwinstown - on the wall of the shop. The contact number for a call out is 086 4011688. Volunteers are always encouraged and welcome to join the team.


Safeguarding children in our parish
Thank you to all those who volunteer in our churches and halls.  Your work is invaluable to our parish.  As part of our commitment and requirement to protect children, we are presently distributing confidential forms to these volunteers.  It would be much appreciated if you could return these to the box in the church at your earliest convenience.  If you require further information, or volunteer and have not received a form, please contact Jacqui on 087 2219302.


Public information night
There will be a public information night on safety in the home / crime prevention and Community Text Alert / Neighbourhood Watch hosted jointly by Muintir na Tire and An Garda Siochana in Cleariestown Community Centre on Tuesday 15th May @ 8pm - everyone welcome.



Fastnet Rovers AGM:
Our Annual General Meeting is on Thursday May 10th @ 7pm in Rathangan Hall. Based on our Information Night the changes to the underage soccer season (Calendar Year Soccer) has impacted support for our Development plans and may impact teams/player numbers. We will make key decisions at our AGM and invite you to attend to give your input on them.


Fundraising clothing collection
Cleariestown Community Playgroup will be having a Fundraising used clothing collection on Monday 21st May. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes also bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. Old mobile phones will also be accepted. You can drop off any items at the playschool any weekday morning between 9.30am -12.30pm. All proceeds from this collection and previous one will go directly to the Parish Council to help with the running costs of our playroom within the Community Centre. Thank you for your support. 


D.A.A.G. News
Clean up in Duncormick in preparation for Tidy Town’s Competition on Thursday May 10th at 7pm. Meet in village beside Sinnott’s Pub. All welcome!!!


McCall's Cottages
Many thanks to Jim Hurley for his time and care in introducing us to the fascinating life of our resident Leiserl's Bats. Watch this space.
In  preparation for the blessing ceremony on 18th May, there are shrubs to be planted, garden benches to be assembled and some painting to be done. Anyone who can volunteer a couple of hours next Monday evening, 7th May, from 5pm, will be greatly appreciated on earth and rewarded in heaven. Many hands will make the work light so just come along if you can.


Split the Pot:
Last week's winner was Caroline Kavanagh winning €122. Next draw Thursday 10th May in Rathangan Bar. Thank you for your support.


Sympathy
We extend sympathy to the family of Joe Kendrick, Treacystown, Cleariestown, also to the family and relatives of Brendan Cullen, Duncormick, both of whom died during the week. May they rest in peace.
